I got a new kitten! =D
I used to have a cat a long time ago that I loved very much and when she passed away I was very reluctant to get a new cat. You know, it's one of those "if your boyfriend dumps you, you don't want to go and get another one the very next day" sort of things. But maybe that's a bad analogy since I don't think any of us have ever had a boyfriend? (We're just too cool for that stuff.) Heh heh... But anyway, you know what I mean? Getting a new cat was the last thing on my mind.
But while I was away at camp my Mom's boss found this kitten that was dumped and tried to get my Mom to adopt it as she (Her Boss) already had many cats. My Mom was also reluctant to get a new cat (just because that's how Moms are) but when her Boss got the kitten ALL its shots, food, flea medicine, etc. with her own money, she couldn't refuse!
So it was a big surprise when I came home and found a kitten on my bed.
But it turned out to be a good surprise. I'm glad there's a cat in my room again. =^.^=
...
I named her Mali after the country in Africa. NOT to be mistaken for Molly. I never liked the name Molly. But MALI is totally different. And totally cooler. ; )
So yeah, if you actually read that you'll be pleased to know I will post pictures of her ASAP.S'all for now! =] =]

I got back from summer camp! Obviously. But I won't talk about everything I did because that kind of stuff tends to bore people. Heh heh...
Oh! Happy (late) Independence Day!! Yeah! America is now 224 years old. Wow, we're such a hip, young country. ; ) I would have posted this on the 4th but my cousin and I stayed up really late drinking Monsters and watching Titanic. Heh heh... Yeah...
So how's everyone been? I haven't talked to anyone in a while...
Well, ta ta for now! =]

Well, I will talk to you all in eight days! I'm off to summer camp in Texas! *heat stroke*
Until then! =]
P.S. Sorry I wasn't able to comment on everyone's sites! I'm in a hurry! x.x

I got new hamsters! =D
They're called Roborovski hamsters and they're the smallest species of hamster in the world. And the most adorable!
I got three: Rusty Soaps, Goody Stay-Put, and Goo.
I couldn't get any good pictures of them, so I stole these off the internet. =]
The top picture is about life-size.

Sorry for the lack of posts. We've had relatives over the past couple weeks... Sorry if you all think I've abandoned you or something. Because I haven't. ^^
But anyway, we celebrated my birthday today! I know it's three days early, but who cares, right? ; )
First we went to visit the TAC art gallery. It was so exciting seeing a painting of mine next to ones done by adults and professionals! My first selected gallery! ^_^
Then we ate and came home and had ice cream and all that good stuff. And I got to open presents!
I got a few really cool books including Eat This Not That, a couple books about math, a REALLY cool anatomy for artists, etc., a few hippos for tradition's sake, some other things, and best of all a SUPER-mad-awesome toothbrush! It has a charger, a timer, something that says if you're brushing too hard... I mean, it freaking came with a manual! My toothbrush came with a manual! That's pretty awesome... Is it weird for a teenage girl to be so excited over a fancy toothbrush? Oh well. ^^
I'll be 17 on June 9th. Can't say I'm ecstatic about being a year older, but oh well, might as well enjoy it. =]
*Happy*

I won state in the Federal Duck Stamp contest! =O =O Yes, it DOES sound like an obscure little art contest, but supposedly it's pretty big and I was VERY surprised to have won!
I got two pretty ribbons (one of which is BOS. I've never gotten a BOS ribbon before!) and 250 dollars. That's actually quite little for such a big contest, but hey, I'm not complaining!
Yeah, so I'd post of a picture of my duck but I was SMART enough to NOT take any pictures of it before I sent it out into the world. Yay! Go me! *hits head against nearest brick wall*
I hope this doesn't sound like bragging. It's just that I rarely win anything good enough TO brag about. Like Mayfest! It's just a little local art contest but I didn't win a thing. Of course they DO prefer depressing, *cough* modern *cough*, anti-religious, anti-anything-really kind of art. Not my cuppa. My picture was very bright and... not depressing? But anyway...
Plant a tree, hug a hippo, and never forget to rinse out your brushes!

We saw Prince Caspian yesterday! =D Yay!!
It was pretty awesome. I think I liked it better than the first one. It seemed pretty faithful to the book, although I haven't read it in forever, so I can't really tell. x.X Of course, this being Hollywood, they added a lot of action scenes, etc., but oh well. That's to be expected.
ANYway, I loved it and I can't wait for Voyage of the Dawn Treader! That's next, right? (No Peter and Susan in that one. But that's okay, no one likes them anyway. ; P)
Besides yours, who do you think deserves "The Best Mother in the World" award?
Submitted by Connie.
Any mother Caracal. You should see how many bottles Aziza has chewed apart! Poor mom!

Orthodox Quaker, Judaism, and Baha'i? That was unexpected. ^^ But I guess my, well, I guess you can call it a religion, wouldn't be on there. And although I'm fine with Nontheist and Scientology being in the bottom three, it's a shame to see Taoism there, because they have very interesting ideas, many of which I agree with. Ah well. ^^
This was very insightful. Thanks for posting it, guys! =]
